A pre-purchase plumbing survey is a visual inspection of the accessible plumbing systems within a property. It helps identify visible defects, potential issues and maintenance concerns before you buy.

This is a non-invasive inspection. We do not lift floors, remove fittings, dismantle plumbing systems or inspect concealed pipework. Drainage surveys, electrical inspections and gas safety inspections are separate services.

Your written report, including photographs is normally sent within 48 working hours of the survey being completed.

We recommend considering a full property assessment before purchasing. Alongside a plumbing survey, many buyers also arrange a drainage survey, an EICR and a gas safety inspection to identify issues that may not be picked up during a standard homebuyer survey.
